All you need to start your web site is an HTML template and a sitemap. Once these are defined, you can edit, save and generate pages directly on the server without any need to FTP.
The navigation linking these pages and the highlighting of the current pages is done automatically by EasyCMS. Sites generated with EasyCMS are not dependent on it, you can use it to generate clickthroughs, HTML presentations or third party web sites.
EasyCMS was designed to work for users of virtual servers without any PHP knowledge. Its flat file structure does come with some limitations compared to database driven CMS.
However, the EasyCMS features should tackle each most of the tasks necessary to generate a web site:
